Objective: To explore the occurrence rate of lower extremity angiopathy in type 2 diabetes and risk factors. Methods: Doppler ultrasound examination were performed on 98 cases with type 2 diabetes. The differences of clinical indexes were compared between type 2 diabetes group and lower extremity angiopathy group by retrospective analysis. The risk factors of lower extremity angiopathy in type 2 diabetes were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results: 61 cases(62.24%) occurred lower extremity angiopathy.Compared with type 2 diabetes group, the age, course of disease,SBP and LDL-C showed statistical significance in lower extremity angiopathy group(P0.05).The age, course of disease,SBP and LDL-C were independent risk factors of lower extremity angiopathy in type 2 diabetes(P0.05).Conclusion: Doppler ultrasound can find location and severity of lesions of lower extremity angiopathy in type 2 diabetes. The related factors of lower extremity angiopathy are age, course of disease, blood pressure and cholesterol level.

Objective To investigate the changes of WBC count and free fatty acids (FFAs) level in diabetic patients with angiopathy, and explore the role of WBC and FFAs in the pathogenesis of diabetic angiopathy. Methods The number of WBC and the concentration of FFAs were determined in 22 diabetic patients without angiopathy, 38 diabetic patients with angiopathy and 20 healthy subjects. Results Both WBC count and FFAs concentration in the diabetic patients were obviously higher than those in healthy subjects (P0.05), and in diabetic patients with angiopathy were also significantly higher than those in diabitic patients without one (P0.05). WBC count was positively correlated with FFAs concentration in diabetic patients with angiopathy. Conclusion Both WBC count and FFAs concentration increased in diabetic patients with angiopathy. WBC count may be a biological mark for inflammation as FFAs.

Objective To investigate the changes of C-reactive proteins count and free fatty acids(FFAs) level in elder type 2 diabetic patients with angiopathy and explore the role of CRP and FFAs in the pathogenesis of diabetic angiopathy. Methods The number of CRP and concentration of FFAs were detemined in 51 diabetic patients without angiopathy,62 diabetic patients with angiopathy and 65 healthy subjects. Results Both CRP and FFAs concentration in the diabetic patients were obviously higher than those in healthy subjects(P0.05).And in diabetic patients with angiopathy were also significantly higher than those in diabetic patients without one(P0.05).CRP was positively correlated with FFAs in diabetic patients with angiopathy. Conclusion Both CRP and FFAs concentration increase in elder type 2 diabetic patients with angiopathy.CRP may be a biological mark for angiopathy as FFAs.

The clinico-morphological data analysis was done in 100 examined patients with diabetic angiopathy of the lower extremities. The morphological changes revealed have corresponded to severity of the disease clinical symptoms in 70% only. Purulent affection of extremities have characterized not the end stage of angiopathy only but it was observed in another stages of the disease.

Diabetic angiopathy is a generalised systemic disease of the vascular system which afflicts both distribution vessels (diabetic macroangiopathy) and microcirculation (diabetic microangiopathy). The diabetic angiopathy, as well as other angiostenotic diseases (obliterations, obstructions, occlusions) result in one common consequence--ischaemia. This study is based on an analysis of a large group of patients (71,662 angiologic consultant examinations which took place during the 25-year period of the existence of the Comenius University Faculty Hospital). The author indicates that the clinical course of angio-organic ischaemic syndromes determined by diabetic angiopathy is multiform, remarkably severe and unfavourable. The author has suggested the term "X hypersyndrome" referring to cases with simultaneous occurrence of various pathophysiologic abnormalities and clinical units which finally increase the risk of origin and development of diabetic angiopathy. In 40 patients with diabetic angiopathy of lower extremities of terminal stage the foot tissue biopsies were studied up using electron and light microscopy. A skin was supposed to be most acceptable substrate for biopsy because there was established morphological changes of tissues, occurring in a single direction and in a single type. Morphological criteria of the angiopathy stages were delineated, permitting to make a differentiative choice of the treatment tactics.

Objective:To explore coagulation change of diabetic patients with angiopathy and its implications.Methods:99 diabetes patients were divided into two groups. One group included the diabetic patients without angiopathy (47/99).And another groups contained the diabetic patients with angiopathy (52/99).Furthermore,32 healthy people were enrolled in the study as control groups.Venous blood was collected from all groups and vWF-antigen,P-selectin and AT-III:A were determined.Results:(1) The levels of vWF-antigen,P-selectin in diabetic patients were higher than healthy people (P0.01).Compared with both control group and patients without angiopathy, the levels of vWF-antigen,P-selectin were increased in the patients with angiopathy (P0.01).(2) For the activity of AT-III,there is no difference between the patients without angiopathy and the control group (P0.05).However,the level of AT-III in patients with angiopathy were different from the group without angiopathy or the control group (P0.01).Conclusion:The abnormal changes of vWF-antigen,P-selectin and AT-III:A are close related with angiopathic complication of diabetes. So,it is significant to monitor these markers in order to prevent and therapy the diabetic vascular complications.

Objective: To compare the cognitive function of type 2 diabetic cases with diabetic micro-angiopathy with that of type 2 diabetic cases without diabetic micro-angiopathy. Methods: The cognitive function of 26 type 2 diabetic cases with diabetic micro-angiopathy(Study Group) and 26 type 2 diabetic cases without diabetic micro-angiopathy(Control Group) were evaluated by the Chinese Clinical Memory Scale, Chinese Adult Intelligent Scale and Trail Making A. The two groups were matched in age, sex, educational level and others. Results: The scores of memory quotient and Finding errors in Study Group were significantly lower than those in Control Group The lower score of memory quotient in the Study Group were mostly due to their lower score of Picture Free Recall. Conclusion: The cognitive function of type 2 diabetic cases with diabetic micro-angiopathywere significantly worse than that of type 2 diabetic cases without diabetic micro-angiopathy.

Objective to study the alteration of proteinZ.PT,APTT,TT,Fg in type 2diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus with angiopathy..to explore its clinical significance and relations with glucose. Methods 30 cases healthy persons and 30 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) Patients without angiopathy and 30 cases type 2 diabetes mellitus with angiopathy.the plasma levels of proteinZ(PZ) were measured by Moded680 instrument.PT,APTT,TT,Fg were measured by ACL Futura instrument.made in America Coulter company. Results the level of proteinZ was significantly decreased in groups of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with or without angiopathy than controls(P0.001).proteinZ was significantly decreased in Patients with angiopathy than those without angiopathy(P0.01).the level of PT,APTT,Fg were significantly differences among the groups(P0.05).the level of proteinZ has clearly negtive relationship with glucose(P0.001).Conclusion Thrombosis in type 2 diabetes with angiopathy occurrence and development play an important role,it is important to regular measure the levels of PZ and PT,APTT,Fg for prevention and treatment in type 2 diabetic angiopathy.
