Constructive play occurs when children use play materials to make something. Until recently, this form of play received little attention in the play literature, in contrast to the extensive research on dramatic or make-believe play. Thus, an at tempt is made to assemble what is known about constructive play and to suggest issues for consideration in future research. First, data are summarized on the de velopmental patterns in constructive play, including information about age trends and sex differences. Next, a review is presented of what is known about the developmental correlates and effects of constructive play behavior. Finally, methodological and theoretical issues underlying research on constructive play are examined as a means of integrating the data. It is suggested that constructive play be conceptualized as the intersection of functional and dramatic play.

In this paper, we present how to use the Constructive Scrapbook to integrate expression and analysis and propose that its design is effective for learning. Constructive Scrapbook is a computer application in which the user arranges compositions of pictures in a two-dimensional space, makes various compositions, and switches them freely. Although subjective expression and objective analysis are treated as different activities in the educational world today, we have designed a tool that handles both types of activities simultaneously through constructive learning. Our objective is to have children and ordinary persons use various facets to analyze their expressions and then create new expressions. We held a workshop using the Constructive Scrapbook. The results show that the tool has the potential to make the user analyze expressions, extract significances to consider them deeply, and then create new expressions.

Mathematics was a science that about thought.Constructive thought was a kind of individual recognition, which was used to be discovered and invented mathematical concepts, theorems, formulas, propositions and form relative mathematical thoughts and methods. The cultivation of constructive thought was contribute to cultivate creative thought, and promoted the understanding of the knowledge of mathematics.Comparing to our traditional way of education,we should pay more attention to the cultivation of constructive thought.Constructive thought include external constructive thought, internal constructive thought and dialectical constructive thought.

There are a great many methods of solving the mathematics problems,in which constructive method is the basic one. The article introduces some kinds of constructive method through specific examples and points out the key to the constructive method clearly. Also it discusses that if you want to solve the maths problems with constructive method you should have the ability of observing problems, analsing problems , association, transformation and so on.

In observer-based approach for fault detection and isolation, two schemes are generally considered, namely the dedicated observer scheme (DOS) and the generalized observer scheme (GOS). DOS is a bank of observers sensitive to only one fault while GOS is composed of observers sensitive to all faults except one. In this paper a new sensor fault diagnosis approach named Reconstruction Observer Scheme (ROS) is proposed, which does not need any bank of observer, only one observer is used. The proposed method based on reconstruction of variables is used to generate a structured residuals for fault isolation. After the fault detection, the reconstruction is carried of all the variables. Reconstruction of a variable consists on the replacement of this variable to the input of the observer by its estimation. This operation eliminates fault effect when a faulty variable is reconstructed. The proposed approach is illustrated by an academic example.
