    Abstract:
Abstract Content and emphases in undergraduate biochemistry courses can be readily tailored to accommodate the standards of the department in which they are housed, as well as the backgrounds of the students in the courses. A more challenging issue is how to construct laboratory experiences for a class with both chemistry majors, who usually have little or no experience with biochemical techniques and biology and biochemistry majors who do. This manuscript describes a strategy for differentiating biochemistry labs to meet the needs of students with differing backgrounds. Integrated journals of construction science and technology before 1949 in China are studied with a particular stress on journal thoughts, features, purposes of journals like Yunnan Construct Weekly,Shandong Province Construct Semimonthly,Chuankang Construct,Countryside Construct,Shichuan Construct,Construct Review(Beijing),Guangdong Construct,Jilin Construct,Construct review(Shanghai). Some important articles published in these periodicals are introduced and analysed.Yunnan Construct Weekly is the earliest and published for the longest period.A mass of historical data have been analytically studied. And some early journals are proofread.

Construct maps are tools that display how the underlying achievement construct upon which one is trying to set cut-scores is related to other information used in the process of standard setting. This article reviews what construct maps are, uses construct maps to provide a conceptual framework to view commonly used standard-setting procedures (the Angoff, Bookmark, Mapmark, Briefing Book, Body of Work, Contrasting Groups, Borderline Groups, and Construct Mapping methods), and describes how construct maps can be applied to set cut-scores and provide feedback, evaluate standard-setting methods, and synthesize data from various standard-setting methods when deciding on cut-scores. Suggestions of how construct maps could help resolve several of the common criticisms of operational standard-setting procedures, including issues related to panelist inconsistency and score gaps, are also provided. An example from a large-scale state-testing program illustrates how construct maps may be applied in practice.

The relationship between employees and their employers has been conceptualized as involving a “psychological contract” (PC). The PC construct is assumed by many to have a key role to play in understanding organizational behavior, and there has been a proliferation of writing regarding PCs in recent years. The history of the construct, however, has remained under‐reported, and largely undiscussed. This articles seeks to contribute to the evolution of the PC construct by providing a richer, more thorough historical perspective than can be presently found in the PC literature. The origins and early development of the PC construct are traced through a review of books, articles, and unpublished dissertations. Observations regarding historical developments are linked to the current state of the literature, and the implication of these observations for the future direction of the PC literature is briefly discussed.

Three decades of research involving the definition and measurement of the source credibility construct are reviewed and a new study reported. It is concluded that factor analytic research reported over the past decade has strayed from the original credibility/ethos construct and has treated that construct as virtually isomorphic with the construct of person perception. It is argued that future factor analytic studies of source credibility would serve no useful purpose, that the historical definitions of the construct should be retained, and that satisfactory measures of that construct already exist.

We learned in Chapter 9 that selection is a particularly important programming concept in all programming languages. To use selection in our C# code, we have several construct options, and the best construct option to choose will depend on the particular task the code has to perform. The different construct options for selection are the if construct, the if-else construct, the if else if construct, and the switch construct with its case label. The switch construct can use numeric or string data types, and when we use strings, it is based on a case-sensitive comparison. To help in using strings with the switch construct, we can make use of the ToUpper() or ToLower() method of the String class. We also learned that displaying data to the console could be achieved using "placeholders," {}, within the WriteLine() method.
