    Objective:To explore the proteins expression of frontal cortex and to find the different proteins related to learning and memory function in Senescence-accelerated mouse(SAM).Methods:The proteomics maps of frontal cortex were obtained in the senes- cence-accelerated mouse-prone/8(SAMP8)and senescence-accelerated mouse-resistence/1(SAMRI)from 8-month-old to 13-month- old by two-dimension electrophoresis(2-DE)and Coomassie brilliant blue G250 dying.The proteomics profiles of frontal cortex were preliminarily analyzed with PDQuest 7.40 analysis package.Results:579 proteins spots were detected in frontal cortex of 8-month-old SAMP8,while 612 spots were observed in SAMR1 at the same ages,and 33 proteins spots were absent in SAMP8,which present in SAMR1.Furthermore,a total of 35 protein spots were expressed differently in frontal cortex between SAMP8 and SAMRI.However, there were 705 and 621 proteins spots expressed in SAMP8 and SAMR1,respectively,84 proteins spots in SAMR1 were absent in SAMR1,while 36 proteins presented significant changes in frontal cortex between SAMP8 and SAMR1.Compared with the protein spots in 8-month-old SAMP8,126 new protein spots presented in the frontal cortex of 13-month-old,and a total of 58 different proteins were observed.Compared with 8-month-old,9 new proteins spots were found in the frontal cortex of 13-month-old,and 33 different ex- pression proteins were observed.Conclusion:This study provided a proteomics profile and their different changes in the frontal cortex of SAMP8 and SAMR1 from 8 months to 13 months.The findings are helpful to explore the possible mechanism of mice aging involving learning and memory and to find new drugs targeted to functional regulation proteins to prevent aging.

    Immunohistochemistry has become an important tool in research and in surgical pathology. Rapid growth of a new methods in immunohistochemistry supplement traditional histochemical and histological light microscopy investigations. Immunohistochemistry has given pathologists a chance to location different antigens on the cell surface as well as in the cell compartments. The expression of antigens are mostly influenced by factors connected with tissue processing; fixation and embedding. The aim of present article is to show the role of these factors and their influence on some immunohistochemical staining results. Not all the problems are discussed here, the main goal which authors would like to obtain is to show the way how to solve problems which can occur during immunohistochemical staining procedure. They want also to delineate the importance of standardization in immunohistochemistry to make the results more reliable between different laboratories.

    Objective To discuss the application o immunohistochemistry autostainer in immunohistochemistry.Methods More than 30 kinds of first antibodies of the Pathology Department,such as AAT,CerBb-2,CK,HBcAg,ER,PR,Ki-67,and unified second antibodies were selected.Immunohistochemistry autostainer and manual operation were applied to the staining of the antibodies,and then the results by the above methods were compared.Results The antibodies stained by immunohistochemistry autostainer,gifted with clear background,no edge effect,uniform staining and accurate positive results,were all better than those by manual operation from all aspects.Conclusion Immunohistochemistry autostainer is highly automatic,time-saving,manpower-saving,repeatable and highly standardized.

    Rearing animals under conditions of environmental enrichment has been shown to induce depth increases in the cerebral cortex. The nature of these increases is not simple since a variety of regional and temporal patterns are apparent and on e report indicated an actual decreased depth of the medial frontal cortex following 80 days of enrichment. in the present study the depth of this medial frontal cortex was measured in three separate experiments and the dimensions of adjacent cortex, and subcortex were also examined. A precise regional response specificity was identified within the frontal cortex while corpus callosum depth was increased and diencephalic width decreased by environmental enrichment.

    This study tested the utility of high-resolution magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) to analyze frontal cortex degradation due to advancing age. Brain tissue stiffness significantly varied in frontal cortex regions and frontal cortex stiffness also significantly decreased with age. A significant interaction between age and region was found, indicating regions changed differently with age. The stiffness of all frontal cortex regions degraded more per year than reported whole frontal lobe stiffness loss, indicating greater loss in the cortex with age. This approach brings potentially increased sensitivity and specificity to the structure-function relationship found in the frontal cortex with age.
