PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus is a high-performance local bus, is put forward to meet the high-speed data transmission between peripherals and host. The CPCI technology is adapted from PCI-based, it conforms to the PCI bus standard and mature European card mechanical standards , supports hot-swap capability, has advantage of the more stronger, more reliable, use and maintenance simply. Can break through the limitations of the PCI card via the PCI bridge technology to achieve PCI to CPCI conversion, the paper introduces the principle of the PCI-PCI bridge technology and in-depth analysis of a typical bridge chip PCI2050, based on a PCI card circuit design example, and provide a reference for the type of system design and verification.

The PCI9054 is a 32-bit PCI bus mastering PCI-to-Local Bus I/O Accelerator chip. It is the world's most advanced and highest performance PCI-to-local bus device. The paper introduces its structure and function、bus operation and the mode of data transmission, and expounds convenience and practicability of PCI9054 in the PCI interface circuit design by the application instance in the high-speed data Collection system.

PCI bus was widely used in data acquisition and processing system because of its outstanding capability.It's more freedom to design PCI interface based on FPGA relative to using special PCI interface chip.In order to realize a simply PCI Target interface on FPGA,building block design method was introduced.The PCI interface logic was divided into four modules.And the designing of state-machine module was emphatic introduced.Then,the simulation waves of memory read operation was given.The result indicated that it is accord with PCI Specification.Now this design was tested in underground detecting radar system.

PCI-E is considered as next Bus standard,because of the characteristic and key technology advantage.PowerPC8640 integrates PCI-E interface,and it is a high-powered CPU.The paper introduces mainly PCI-E of PowerPC8640 and flow of initialization.PCI-E of PowerPC8640 is master,we devise two methods of others PCI-E device as slave: using PCI-E hard-IP of FPGA and using PEX8112 which is PCI-E to PCI bridge.Communications of PCI-E is implemented.All functions are implemented,and the result indicates that the method of PCI-E Bus interface based on PowerPC8640 is viable,and this method makes hardware design and software exploitation easy.

This paper introduces the design of solid state recorder system based on PCI Interface.The system utilizes a chip of high-speed FPGA and several large capacity memorizers to realize data buffer and stores large amount of data in high-speed data acquisition,and downloads real-time data to computer via PCI bus.In addition,this paper describes PCI9054 I/O accelerator's structure,function,bus operation and the mode of data transmission,and describes also the software and hardware design of PCI bus interface circuit based on PCI9054.Finally,a simple and high-efficiency application is suggested.

First of all,some basic conceptions of PCI bus is briefly introduced in this paper and issues in the finite state machine design in PCI bus interface controller is studiesd,then discussed how to using VHDL language implementing a PCI bus controller in programmable device FPGA.The result of test indicates this design accord with sequence request of PCI criterion.

A kinds of communication control board based on PCI bus is designed for improving the safety and stabilization of a photo-electrical detecting system.Firstly,the hardware design parts including the Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) circuit,PCI9054 design and other function modules are introduced and the PCI local bus control and the PCI system designed with the PCI9054 are studied.Then,other function modules used in the photo-electrical detecting system are shown.After finishing the design work,the communication control board is tested.Tested results indicate that the transmission velocity of PCI bus achieves 26.3 MByte/s,the least time unit is 1 ms with the accuracy of ±0.1 ms and the communication rate by eight series RS-422 is 230.4 kbit/s at the same time.The communication control board finished has been used in some important projects and has done well with high safety and stabilization under the complex environment.

This paper introduces a FPGA-based PCI target interface design method and its implementation on the basis of a practical project. This paper describes the background of the third-generation I/O bus called PCI Express, analyses the main feature and architecture of PCI Express Bus. At the same time, this paper proposed a new design method which can implement the high speed data rate communication of SDH signal through the PCI Express Bus. In this paper,For high-speed transfer of data between external devices and computer problems,designing the PCI Express bus technology to achieve high-speed data transmission,data transfer card for PCI-Express is designed to achieve high-speed transmission of large amounts of data from the recorder to the computer shared memory.Data transfer using DMA mode;use a dedicated interface chip PEX8112 PCIE interface to achieve the PCI bus bridge.Finally,the PCI Express card test results proved that it can be fast and efficient transfer data that meet the design requirements.
