Abstract:
With the development of computer and information technology, computer and network have been popular. At the same time, security problem has greatly aroused people's attention, especially in campus environment. Campus network as an important part of the campus life, people also arouse enough attention to the problems of personal computer safety management. Running a set of effective campus network monitoring software is real needed for the campus network management and maintenance personal safety. In order to ensure the safety, reliability and steady running of the campus network, according to the present situation and development of the campus network, people plan and design to use network monitoring system on the campus network security management. The system can effectively control and manage the reliable operation of the campus network.Keywords:

초고속 통신망의 등장으로 네트워크의 규모가 커지고 복잡해짐에 따라 다양한 네트워크 장비 및 호스트들에 대한 관리 역시 복잡해지고 중요하게 되었다. 최근에는 구조가 간단하고 구현이 용이한 SNMP를 기반으로 네트워크 관리 및 운용할 수 있는 네트워크 관리 시스템들이 많이 연구되어 왔다. 그러나 이들 시스템들은 네트워크 구조가 복잡해지면서 확장 및 효율성 측면에서 네트워크 부하의 증가, 네트워크 관리 범위의 한계 등 많은 문제점들이 드러나고 있다. 특히 네트워크 객체를 관리하는 정보를 개발하는 데 있어서 지금까지는 거의 네트워크 개발자의 수작업에 의존하며 그로 인한 네트워즈 개발비용 및 시간이 많이 소요된다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 네트워크 관리를 위해 필요한 정보를 자동 생성해 줄 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 제안한 프레임워크에서는 네트워크 장비와 함께 제공되는 MIB 데이터와 SNMP 라이브러리를 이용하여 네트워크 관리 프로그램을 자동으로 생성한다. 아울러 제안한 프레임워크를 통해 생성된 네트워크 프로그램을 이용하여 SNMP 네트워크 구성확장을 용이하게 할 뿐 만 아니라 네트워크 관리 프로그램의 개발 기간 단축과 유지 보수에서의 에러율을 현저히 저하시키는 효과를 가져올 수 있다. As the appearance of very high speed telecommunication network, volume of network, is enlarged and complicated, management of the various network equipments and hosting systems become more complicated and significant. Recently, there have been various researches on network management system that is capable of managing and operating the network environment based on SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). SNMP has many advantages, which is easy to implement and has a simple structure. However, as the network structure has become more complicated, it has caused a number of problems like the increase of network load and limit of the network management scope in terms of the network expansion and efficiency. Especially, it needs expensive cost and time for developing a network because many network developers are almost depended manually for developing it till now. In this paper, we propose a framework for network management program that automates the generation of information for network management. The Proposed framework is able to automatically generate a network management program by using information related with equipments which were provided along with the network equipments and SNMP library Thus, we ill make not only the SNMP network structure expansion become easier but also errors maintaining and development time of the network management program were dramatically reduced by using generated network program through our proposed framework.

Network management involves configuring and operating various network elements in a suitable manner. Generally, a network management system can perform basic functionalities such as configuration management, performance management, and fault management. Due to the open structure of the Internet, the volume of network traffic and the network equipment used have increased in size and complexity. Therefore, it is expensive and time consuming to develop a network management program for heterogeneous network equipment in an SNMP.based network. In order to facilitate the management of network environments and the control of heterogeneous devices in an efficient manner, we propose an Active Network Management System (ANMS) comprising an automatic generator that uses triggers to generate a network management program. The concept of triggers can be represented through event condition action rules performed in response to a change in the status of a network environment. The proposed ANMS comprises basic components for real time network management and also includes an automatic generator (AG). When the ANMS is monitoring network elements that are newly added or changed, a trigger rule is activated and these components are then able to collaborate and automatically generate a new network management program by using the information provided along with the SNMP libraries. Our method is useful for expanding the network structure and replacing network equipment. Through experiments, we have proved that our ANMS is useful when new network objects are added or changed in the network environment to expand the network structure. Further, we have verified that our ANMS system reduces the time and cost required to develop a network management program as compared to the manual method used in existing network management systems.

This paper illustrates the design process of network management system for campus network.Making use of SNMP technologies,for the configuration management,performance management and invalidation management of every single device,it also implements the MIB browser for convenient seeking of MIB information and can collect all flow coming in and going out of the campus network.This method is the basis for campus network charging.This system uses JAVA language,and has good transplantilibility.

This research aims to design and implement the Simple Network Management Network Protocol (SNMP) for network management which is implemented directly at the Information Technology and Telecommunications Technical Implementation Unit (UPT TIK), Riau University. The monitoring system is part of the network management system, which is a system that functions to assist network administrators in monitoring and controlling network devices. The development of this system uses the PHP programming language and the MySQL database management system. From the results of system testing and analysis, it is found that the monitoring and network management systems that have been designed can run well in monitoring network devices. The system is designed to display the information needed in network management in the form of up / down status and traffic on network devices. The system is also equipped with an alert feature in the form of a sound notification on the system if the device status is down.
