Internet is a useful tool for all in a technologically advanced world. Internet use for education is very important. It is now in practice to teach school to college to get more out of it. In this study, the emphasis is given on the most important success factor that investigates about Internet usage by students of the University, whether it is an effective learning tool for students and teachers and also examines the level of use Internet and whether the Internet is useful for distance learners. The sample of the data is taken from the universities of the twin cities (Islamabad and Rawalpindi). The quantitative technique for data analysis was SPSS. The results reveal that most students find that the Internet knowledge is essential for students and teachers. Above all respondents in the questionnaire that students feel comfortable using the Internet and provides substantial information and half of those surveyed felt that Internet use is difficult in school. Results show that the Internet is easier to use then the collection of research tools, while the Internet is very important. It is recommended that students should align their potential for significant and positive use of the Internet. Further it is recommended also to educate students to use basic Internet tools.

Internet literature has become a hot topic nowadays.Internet literature and traditional literature are compared,leading to the conclusion that the former is inferior to the latter.Internet is a means by which literature is spread.The relationship between internet literature and traditional literature is not opposite and even less contradictory.The defects thus obtained can not be attributed to the internet.Internet literature develops of its own accord.As a byproduct of internet era,it meets the needs of internet users.Eventually,readers and the author will end up mature and the progress of the internet literature can well be expected.

Internet is a most popular and useful tool for all in the present information society. Use of internet is increasing day by day as it is time saving, more informative and less expensive. The present study investigates about Internet usage by the students of SCEM, Mangalore. A survey was conducted in order to assess the pattern of internet use by distributing well-structured questionnaires among the 100 students of SCEM. The response rate was 85 per cent. It was found that the Internet had become a vital instrument for education, research and learning process of these respondents. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of Internet use such as, frequency of Internet use, place for Internet use, purposes for which the Internet is used, use of Internet services, ways to browse the information from the Internet, their favorite search engines, problems faced by the users in surfing the internet and satisfaction level of users with the Internet facilities provided by the college. However students have identified slow intent connection as the major problem in their use of internet. The results reveal that many students used internet daily. Further, it is recommended to educate students to use basic internet tools.

Investigators have made an attempt to explain the important aspects of Internet, the Internet being a computer network made up of thousands of networks worldwide. No one knows exactly how many computers are connected to the Internet. Internet and Internet based information resources are essential to overcome the distance barrier in information explosion, and it also saves the time, when searching the literature in electronic form and allows to identify the resources. Presently, Internet based information resources are increasingly used for various purposes. The teachers, research scholars and students of higher education use Internet to keep themselves up to date. The present study explains / gives an insight into why people are interested and what is their attitude towards the use of Internet based information resources and Internet use.

The present study demonstrates and elaborates the different modes of Internet use, such as frequency of Internet use, place of access, purposes of Internet access, motivating factors to access Internet, most preferred search engines and problems faced while accessing Internet by the Post-Graduate students of six state Universities of Karnataka. The results of the study reveal tha: the most preferred place for accessing Internet continues to be the department; e-mail is one of the primary purposes of the P.G. students for accessing Internet; slow speed of Internet connection is the major problem while accessing Internet. And it is also suggested to conduct training / orientation programmes for the Post-Graduate students for the effective use of Internet.
