    Abstract:
Several classes of neutrino mass models, which can naturally account for hierarchical masses and the bi-large pattern of neutrino mixing, are constructed from a bottom-up perspective based on the idea of decoupling of one right-chiral neutrino from the seesaw mechanism. The interplay between the predictions for the lepton-flavour violation in the MSSM with universal soft masses and for leptogenesis is studied. In particular, classes of neutrino mass models in which successful leptogenesis implies BR(mu->e gamma) potentially observable in upcoming experiments are identified.

We review various TeV scale models for neutrino masses utilizing different types of seesaw mechanisms, higher dimensional operators, expanded gauge symmetries, or low scale extra dimensions. In addition, we discuss the implications of these models for the collider experiments and low energy lepton flavor violation searches.

In this talk I discuss the connection between neutrino mass, flavour and CP violation. I focus on three neutrino patterns of neutrino masses and mixing angles, and the corresponding Majorana mass matrices. I discuss the see-saw mechanism, and show how it may be applied in a very natural way to give a neutrino mass hierarchy with large atmospheric and solar angles by assuming sequential right-handed neutrino dominance. I then distinguish between heavy sequential dominance and light sequential dominance, and show how lepton flavour violation in the CMSSM provides a way to discriminate between these two possibilities. I also show that for a well motivated class of light sequential dominance models there is a link between leptogenesis and CP violation measurable in neutrino oscillation experiments.

We present an overview of recent progress in the phenomenological study of neutrino masses, lepton flavor mixing and CP violation. We concentrate on the model-independent properties of massive neutrinos, both in vacuum and in matter. Current experimental constraints on the neutrino mass spectrum and the lepton flavor mixing parameters are summarized. The Dirac- and Majorana-like phases of CP violation, which are associated respectively with the long-baseline neutrino oscillations and the neutrinoless double beta decay, are discussed in detail. The seesaw mechanism, the leptogenesis scenario and the strategies to construct lepton mass matrices are briefly described. The features of flavor mixing between one sterile neutrino and three active neutrinos are also explored.

We conduct a detailed analysis of the phenomenology of two predictive see-saw scenarios which lead to the Quark-Lepton Complementarity relation θ 12 +θ C = π/4. The neutrino mixing observables and their correlations, neutrinoless double beta decay, lepton flavor violating decays such as μ → eγ and leptogenesis are discussed. The features which allow to distinguish the scenarios are identified.

Superheavy neutrinos can, via the seesaw model, provide a mechanism for lepton number violation. If they are combined with flavor violation as characterized by the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism, then the phenomenology for the neutrinos in oscillation experiments, neutrinoless double beta decay, and other experiments can be described by a relatively few number of parameters. We describe the low-energy neutrino mass matrix and show that the results are consistent with currently available data.

We propose a renormalizable multi-Higgs model with $A_{4}\otimes Z_{2}\otimes Z^{\prime}_{2}$ symmetry, accounting for the experimental deviation from the tribimaximal mixing pattern of the neutrino mixing matrix. In this framework we study the charged lepton and neutrino masses and mixings. The light neutrino masses are generated via a radiative seesaw mechanism, which involves a single heavy Majorana neutrino and neutral scalars running in the loops. The obtained neutrino mixings and mass squared splittings are in good agreement with the neutrino oscillation experimental data for both normal and inverted hierarchy. The model predicts an effective Majorana neutrino mass $m_{\beta\beta}=$ 4 meV and 50 meV for the normal and the inverted neutrino spectrum, respectively. The model also features a suppression of CP violation in neutrino oscillations, a low scale for the heavy Majorana neutrino (few TeV) and, due to the unbroken $Z_2$ symmetry, a natural dark matter candidate.

We show how models of neutrino masses and mixings can be differentiated on the basis of their predictions for θ13 and lepton flavor violation in radiative charged lepton decays and μ−e conversion. We illustrate the lepton flavor violation results for five predictive SO(10) SUSY GUT models and point out the relative importance of their heavy right‐handed neutrino mass spectra and θ13 predictions.
