Abstract:
The structure characteristics and function of IDT7026,a dual port RAM chip,are introduced,which has been applied to the low-frequency time-code signal acquisition system so as to realize the data transfer and sharing between DSP(Digital Signal Processor)and single chip.A practical interface circuit used for communication between DSP and single chip via IDT7026 is presented.Two ways,i.e.token transfer and software arbitration are brought forward to realize the arbitration mode for data exchange in low-frequeney time-code signal acquisition system.Keywords:

In this article, the basic constitution and work principle of a new low altitude IR detecting system are introduced. And based on its requirements of high communication rates and high processing speed, a communication module is designed to manage the data communications. This module is consisted of RS 485 interface and multiserialchip SP2338DP and single chip microcomputer.And a twoport RAM is presented between DSP and single chip microcomputer for comunications. The hardware circuit implementation and interface between these chips are introduced in detail.The experiment proves that the processing speed is raised.

An example of using dual RAM device in the software and hardware design of data interface module is in-troduced in this paper.The module selects the VME bus,and adopts a DSP chip with powerful operation capability,a dual RAM with easy memory ability,a difference interface module and a DC/DC voltage convertor.The structural features of the dual RAM CY7C026-25AI and its fantastic work method called Ping-Pang are explained.And the dif-ferences between the performances of dual RAM,FIFO and some normal memorizers are analyzed.A new concept about the cooperation method between SHARC processor and FIFO chip,that is the Combination Method,is proposed.The absolute advantage of the dual RAM device in the modern data acquisition implementors has been clearly demon-strated.

A design method of dual-port RAM used in the interface between Digital Signal Processors (DSP) and an interferometer is presented, in order to enable the DSP to communicate with the interferometer at a high speed. The principle and operation rule of the IDT7024 are described. According to the design, the interface circuit and flow chart are also presented. Finally, three methods are proposed to prevent the conflict of two systems according to the arbitrated access to the data exchanged between both sides.

A speech signal acquisition system based on the 16-bit, fixed-point, digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320VC5410 is designed. The system adopts single high-resolution analog interface chip TLC320AD50C that integrates sigma-delta digital-to-analog converter with analog-to-digital converter. Buffer and control logic are realized by first-input-first-output (FIFO) memory and complex programming logic device (CPLD) separately. A highly integrated universal serial bus (USB) peripheral interface device EZ-USB is used in serial communication. The basic design principles for hardware and the program frame and realization methods for software are analyzed. The result of test shows distortion almost cannot be sensed when utilizing the system to speech signal playing back.

In the multi-processors application system,the effective communication between two processors is the key element for the effective operation of the system.There are several communication methods between the two processors.There are several advantages by using Dual-Port RAM to realize communication,such as real-time capability,simple interface circuit and high volume data transmission etc.This paper introduces the architecture and function of dual-port RAM as well as the interface circuit and programming diagram.This interface circuit is also applicable to other kinds of multi-processors communication.
