Vehicular network is different from wired network due to its network environment changes rapidly. The connection lifetime between vehicles is usually short because vehicles move in high speeds. Hence, deploy peer-to-peer (p2p) applications over vehicular network is a challenging research issue. There are many problems confronted in p2p file sharing over vehicular network. Therefore, how to search files effectively, how to share files with distant vehicles, how to fully utilize the limited bandwidth, etc. have became important issues. In this paper, we propose an infrastructure-based Urban Multi-Layered Chord (UML-Chord) architecture for p2p file sharing over an urban vehicular network. In this architecture, vehicles are grouped into clusters. A multi-layer chord is employed to manage both files information and clustered vehicles locations. Connection lifetime between vehicles is estimated on a traffic aware basis. Target vehicle selection considers connection lifetime, bandwidth, and vehicle transmission status. Simulations results show that UML-Chord outperforms Chord, clustered organization and overlay based approaches in terms of number of hops (per query), control message overhead, query delay time, average download time, and file complete ratio.

The algorithm GDBSCAN only needs two parameters.It can discover clusters of any shape.But it is very sensitive to the parameter Eps.This paper puts forward a kind of method to make sure the Eps,which is based on datagrid.The method can achieve better result on the case of data distributing unevenly and shapes of clusters reaching each other.

We present a method to classify objects in video streams using a brain-inspired Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) algorithm. Object classification is a challenging task where humans still significantly outperform machine learning algorithms due to their unique capabilities. We have implemented a system which achieves very promising performance in terms of recognition accuracy. Unfortunately, conducting more advanced experiments is very computationally demanding; some of the trials run on a standard CPU may take as long as several days for 960x540 video streams frames. Therefore we have decided to accelerate selected parts of the system using OpenCL. In particular, we seek to determine to what extent porting selected and computationally demanding parts of a core may speed up calculations. The classification accuracy of the system was examined through a series of experiments and the performance was given in terms of F1 score as a function of the number of columns, synapses, $min\_overlap$ and $winners\_set\_size$. The system achieves the highest F1 score of 0.95 and 0.91 for $min\_overlap=4$ and 256 synapses, respectively. We have also conduced a series of experiments with different hardware setups and measured CPU/GPU acceleration. The best kernel speed-up of 632x and 207x was reached for 256 synapses and 1024 columns. However, overall acceleration including transfer time was significantly lower and amounted to 6.5x and 3.2x for the same setup.

Reputation systems have been proposed to distinguish malicious peers and ensure the quality of services in P2P networks. How-ever, only relying on global reputation scores to assess the reliability of file providers can weaken the subjective opinions of file requesters, which is vulnerable to some malicious attacks, e.g., camouflage attack. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a novel hybrid trust model, namely HTM, based on the EigenTrust reputation management system. In HTM, a file requester utilizes a two-phase reference method to take both the global reputation and the direct trust of a file provider into consideration when deciding whether to download from it or not. In particular, in the first phase, a requester selects a provider from the responders based on the roulette wheel selection algorithm; while in the second phase, the requester considers the direct trust on the selected provider with our proposed direct trust evaluation approach. The extended simulation results show that our mechanism can identify and isolate the malicious peers both under individual attack and camouflage attack effectively, thus improving the performance of P2P file sharing networks.
