Chemiluminescence activated by tetramethylthiuramdisulfide in radical reactions

1975
Abstract It has been established that tetramethylthiuramdisulfide is a very good activator of chemiluminescence, accompanying the recombination of tertiary peroxy radicals. An attempt has been made to account for its role in free radical processes in the presence of methyl methacrylate. The results have been interpreted on the basis of competition of both the radical and non-radical mechanism of tetramethylthiuramdisulfide decomposition.
