Effect of midnight-noon ebb-flow of acupoint application on balance ability in patients with knee osteoarthritis

Objective To explore the effect of midnight-noon ebb-flow of acupoint application on balance ability in patients with knee osteoarthritis.Methods 60 patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,30 patients in each.The control group used the affected area acupoint-patch and the experimental group used midnight-noon ebb-flow of acupoint.The eyes closed standing on one foot test,Timed Up and Go Test (TUGT),Berg Balance Scale (BBS) were used to evaluate the patients' balance ability.Results The scores of eyes closed standing on one foot test and BBS in the experimental group after the intervention were higher than those of the control group,and the TUGT time was lower than the control group.Conclusions Flowing acupoint application can improve the patients' balance ability,so that can prevent the occurrence of fall.
