Self-service device and counting method thereof

The invention discloses a self-service device, which comprises circulating currency boxes, an identification part, a recycling currency box, a supplementing/recycling currency box and a control part, wherein each circulating currency box is used for accommodating currency for deposit and withdrawal transactions; the identification part is used for identifying currency transmitted in the self-service device; the recycling currency box accommodates the above currency: currency which is judged to be recycling currency by the identification part when deposit and withdrawal transactions are carried out by the recycling currency box and currency which is judged to be recycling currency by the identification part when automatic counting is carried out; the supplementing/recycling currency box can transmit currency with each circulating currency box; and the control part carries out transmission after automatic recovery in a state with determined balance in bank accounting and in a condition in which automatic recovery of the self-service device succeeds and calculates the currency balance after automatic recovery in the recycling currency box according to the currency balance before and after automatic recovery in the recycling currency box and the supplementing/recycling currency box, and thus, the balance determination state in the bank account can be continued.
