Distributed set-membership filtering for time-varying systems under constrained measurements and replay attacks

2020
Abstract In this paper, the distributed set-membership filtering problem is investigated for a class of time-varying system subject to constrained measurements and replay attacks over sensor network. The constrained measurements refer to the saturation of sensors and the quantization effect of measured signals. Because of the openness and sharing of the network, the transmitted measurement signals can be attacked by malicious adversary. In our study, we assume that the adversary adopts replay attack strategy. The aim of this paper is to design the secure distributed set-membership filter for a class of time-varying systems over unsafe and bandwidth-limited sensor network. By employing linear matrix inequality approach, sufficient conditions guaranteeing the desired distributed filter are obtained, which are in the form of recursive linear matrix inequality. Moreover, an optimization algorithm is proposed to make sure the local optimal filtering performance. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed secure distributed filtering algorithm is demonstrated by a simulation example.
