Research on Complex Weapon System Maintenance Decision-making under Uncertainty

Abstract With the development of modern science and technology, the aviation weapon equipment is becoming more and more complicated, and the coordination between the modules in the system is more closely. Due to the high sensitivity and low maintenance of the complex weapon system, the fault maintenance decision-making problem has always been the hotspot and difficulty for the researchers all around the world. With researching the general process of complex weapon system failure, the paper analyzes the multi-layer fault states of complex weapon system, and constructs the model of fault maintenance decision-making for the complex weapon system under uncertainty considering multi maintenance activities and resource constraints. Based on Markov Decision-making Process(MDP), and considering the problem as a Markov process, it is researched with the policy iteration algorithm. Through the verification of an example, the maintenance decision-making for complex weapon system has achieved good results.
