Method for biceps tendon grafting
2014
FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: end of a biceps tendon torn away is mobilised from an anterior approach. A transosseous lateral is formed in a bicipital tuberosity from a posterior approach. What is used is a sleeve-shaped anchor implant of a knitted titanium nickelide cloth, one end of which embraces tightly the torn away end of the tendon when inserted, whereas the formed composite is stitched with a titanium nickelide filament. A free end of the anchor implant is delivered into the transosseous lateral from the side of a radial bone and further on until the lateral bed is filled with the formed composite; the free end of the anchor implant is wrapped about the radial bone and fixed to a non-submerged portion of the formed composite. EFFECT: by using the anchor implant intraoperatively, the method enables providing the more reliable insertion, reducing the intraoperative injuries, and accelerating the recovery. 4 dwg, 1 ex
