Method for production of concrete from water quenched nickel-iron slag

2015
The present invention provides a method for production of concrete from water quenched nickel-iron slag, the water quenched nickel-iron slag is dried, finely ground and graded to obtain fine slag and coarse slag, an activator is added into the fine slag and thoroughly mixed, and the fine slag activated by the activator is used as an auxiliary gelling material for replacement of part of cement, the coarse slag is used as a fine aggregate for replacement of part of sands for concrete preparation; per cubic meter of concrete nickel-iron slag comprises, by mass, 150 ~ 472kg of the cement, 30 ~ 260kg of the activated fine slag, 58 ~ 472kg of the coarse slag, 203 ~ 772kg of the sands, and 0 ~ 1250kg of stones; and superplasticizer mass is 0.4% to 2% of the total mass of the gelling material. The method can significantly improve the water quenched nickel-iron slag doping content in the concrete, improves concrete aggregate grading issues and workability, meanwhile increases strength and corrosion resistance of the concrete, and significantly reduces concrete costs.
