The lithostratigraphic and sedimentologic of the Givetian limestones in the northern part of the western Meseta of Morocco allow one to distinguish the main sequential units and to define their evolution within the context of a fairly shallow carbonate shelf, with emerged shoals and small deeper basins. A reef system was established and developed on this shelf, on which Tabulata Stromatoporoids and Tetracorallia buildups predominate
