To avoid the penetration of the liquid electrolyte into the porous support (2), while maintaining or increasing the power density of the fuel cell, at least part of the walls (2b) delimiting the pores (2a) of said support (2) is covered, prior to the deposition of the liquid electrolyte, by a film (10) consisting of a material having with a drop of said liquid electrolyte, a contact angle greater than 90 degrees. Moreover, said film (10) has a thickness allowing passage of the reactant fluid in the pores (2a) of the support (2).
