Knowledge management to connect and strengthen people's capacities in Latin America

Knowledge is becoming more and more important as driver for development, in developed as well as in developing countries. In 1998 the World Bank (World Development Report 1998) explicitly identified knowledge as one of the major factors for development. Development organisations are engaging increasingly in knowledge management due to their changing role in relation to capacity building, brokering, and advocacy.
