Comparison of the extraction efficiencies of four automatic nucleic acid extractors for whole blood DNA

2019
Objective To compare the extraction efficiencies of four automatic nucleic acid extractors for whole blood DNA. Methods Nucleic acid was extracted from the whole blood according relevant manufacturers from four automatic nucleic acid extraction instruments, respectively. And the purity and concentration of the nucleic acid extracted manually from the laboratory were compared. Results The 260/280 values of total blood nucleic acid extracted by four automatic nucleic acid extractors met the requirement of purity between 1.7 and 2.0, and the nucleic acid extraction concentrations were higher than or equivalent to that of the manual extraction. Conclusion All the four automatic nucleic acid extractors have excellent extraction effect and high degree of automation, and meet the requirement of clinical specimen application.
