Model Analysis on Using Solar Water Heating System in Hospital

2007
This paper analyzes a solar water heating system (SWH) in a hospital located in Yahata district of Kitakyushu, Japan. The hot water demand is calculated by using the energy consumption intensity of Kyushu, and the experience equation is used to calculate the hot water supply by SWH. According to the results, SWH can satisfy the hot water demand of users significantly. As compared with the gas boiler system, SWH is capable of reducing the gas consumption by 1054640 m^3 and the CO2 emission by 2177 tones, and can save T$ 39 carbon tax per year.
