KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS REGARDING ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE STATUS OF STREPTOCOCCUS PNEUMONIAE IN PEDIATRIC PRACTICE

The human effort to prevent infectious diseases has directly and indirectly led to some of our greatest biological discoveries - antibiotics. Nowadays one of the most critical issues that we are facing is inappropriate and irrational antibiotic use in all human fields. Over usage of antibiotics and occurrence of mutations in some genes cause bacteria develop resistance to antimicrobials. This review emphasizes the importance of proper attention in addressing the problem of antibiotic resistance.
