Progress in Research on Bacterial Ghosts

Bacterial ghosts were formed by PhiX174 protein E-mediated lysis of Gram-negative bacteria.The structure of the inner and outer membrane maintained intact in the gene inactivation process during which no physical or medical changes happened to bacteria surface.It can be used as delivery system and vaccine.Bacterial ghosts have a wide application prospect in the prevention and treatment of diseases.
