Strain hardening of porous cast aluminium alloys

The strain-hardening behavior, microstructure and properties of porous aluminum (Grade A97) and an aluminum alloy (Grade AL2) have been investigated using the samples both as-cast and strained in various regimes. All of the materials have been found to strain harden in two stages that featured largely different strain-hardening rates. The shape, size, and volume fraction of the voids have been analyzed depending on the deformation regimes
