Cost-effectiveness analysis of three therapeutic schemes in treatment of children's pneumonia.

2010
OBJECTIVE To discuss the cost-effectiveness of three therapeutic schemes in the treatment of children′s community-acquired pneumonia.METHODS Totally 118 cases of pneumonia patients were divided into the three groups including cefuroxime sodium(A) ceftriaxone(B) and cefotaxime sodium(C) treatment groups. The cost-effectiveness relation was evaluated with the method of pharmacoeconomic cost-effectiveness analysis.RESULTS The recovery rates of the three groups were 72.50%,84.62% and 87.18%(P0.05);the costs of three groups were(1110.46 ± 156.26) yuan,(1110.80 ± 120.27) yuan and(2405.52 ± 325.36) yuan(P0.05);the cost-effectiveness scores were 15.32% 13.13%,and 27.59%.No adverse reaction appeared in all the 3 groups.CONCLUSION The cefuroxime sodium scheme in the treatment of children′s pneumonia is a preferable choice.
