The traveller and malaria: practical application

This workshop follows on the Malaria paper presented in the Travel Medicine Symposium. Travel scenarios of various patients and expatriates travelling to malaria endemic areas will be presented. The groups will discuss the problems identified in the scenarios relating to chemoprophylaxis, general precautions and surveillance of the returning traveller. Issues relating to fever in the returning traveller will also be presented.
