Sistem Pengurusan E-Zakat Masjid Sultan Ismail (Spez)

2005
The Masjid Sultan Ismail E-Zakat Management System (SPEZ) was developed to help MSI in managing the zakat (Islamic tithe) transaction more effectively and systematically. Furthermore, the staff of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia will be able to carry out the duty of paying the zakat with ease. The idea of developing SPEZ materialised when it was found that many of UTM’s staff face difficulties in manually paying the zakat, which takes time and energy. Therefore, the web-based SPEZ was created to deal with this problem. SPEZ ensure secrecy and privacy. This was done by implementing the MD5 algorithm that controlled user access into the system. The development of SPEZ is based on Incremental Methodology and involves PHP programming which is a type of server side scripting language, database application MySQL, Apache web server and supported by the Macromedia Dreamweaver MX software. SPEZ is expected to become a safe and efficient system that will facilitate the mosque administration and its users.
