An ESR spin-probe study of phase equilibria in ethanol and dimethylacetamide solutions of hydroxypropyl cellulose

The rotational mobility of a nitroxyl spin probe - a stable 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy free radical - in ethanol and dimethylacetamide solutions of hydroxypropyl cellulose was studied in a wide temperature and concentration range. The temperatures of the appearance of a liquid-crystalline phase, as well as the glass transition temperatures of the solutions are reported
