Digital Learning Objects for Teaching Telemedicine at University UNIANDES-Ecuador

The present investigative work arises from the existent problematic in the University Regional Autonoma de Los Andes, and that is related to the limited use of technological elements in the educative process that carry out the teachers of the Career of medical Sciences of this Institution. The problem also has to do with the limited knowledge that there is about Telemedicine. As a solution to this problem, the project proposed as general objective is: “To elaborate learning objects about Telemedicine so that they serve as a technological element in support of the educational process.” To clarify the problem, a survey was conducted among teachers and students of the same career, is concluded that there is ignorance about objects of learning and telemedicine, also the researched point out that teachers do not use technology as an educational support element. The theoretical foundation of the work has to do with education, with objects of learning and with their computer tools for the development of them. Finally, several learning objects useful for Telemedicine teaching have been developed, in the eLearning tool, and since they are web applications they are published in a digital repository created for it.
