Application value of C-reaction protein and Endothelin-1 in patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

2013
Objective To study the clinical value of C-reactive protein(CPR) and Endothelin-1(ET-1) in AECOPD patients. Methods CPR and ET-1 were detected in 56 COPD patients at stable and acute exacerbation stage and 30 healthy people, and the relationships of FEV1% to CPR and ET-1 were analyzed. Results The levels of CPR and ET-1 were the highest in the AECOPD group, followed by the COPD patients at stable stage and the control group. The differences among the three groups were statistically significant(P 0.01).The two indicators were negatively correlated with FEV1%(P 0.01).Conclusion CRP and ET-1 can be used as indicators in the diagnosis of AECOPD patients' condition and to evaluate patients' severity.
