Implementación de modelos pedagógicos en Ecuador: un estudio de caso

This study has as its central axis an attempt to detect the pedagogical model applied by the teachers of the Guapan Educational Unit, located in the canton of Azogues, provincial capital of Canar (Ecuador) in the upper cycle of Basic Education, in connection with the reforms educational activities proposed by the Ministry of Education.To this end, three instruments have been developed: an observation sheet in the classroom, a questionnaire for teachers and a questionnaire for students, which were applied to the selected universe as a whole. This diagnosis confirms the implantation and adaptation in a Basic Education center of the educational reforms undertaken by the Ecuadorian government in the last decades, marked by a critical pedagogical current, although they are still in a phase of settlement but evidencing a clear break, with respect to the traditionalist conception of the old low school, with the accompaniment carried out by the UNAE with the implementation of new processes of continuous training and the training of new trainers.
