Optimization of Preparation Technology of Angelica Anti-dysmenorrhea Compound by Pharmacodynamic Research

2014
Objective: To determine the best extracting methods for the extraction of Angelica anti-dysmenorrhea compound by pharmacodynamic research. Methods: Experimental observations, including the analgesic effect of acetic acid-induced mice and dysmenorrhea mice, the effect on in vitro uterine smooth muscle of nonpregnant mice and the mice sensitized by oxytocin, were carried out to compare the pharmacodynamic effects of the water extracting-alcohol precipitating solution( A),alcohol extracting solution( B) and supercritical carbon dioxide extracting-percolation extracting solution( C) of Angelica anti-dysmenorrhea compound. Results: All of the three different extractions of Angelica anti-dysmenorrhea compound evidently inhibited the writhing reaction of acetic acid-induced mice and dysmenorrhea mice( P 0. 05). Besides, the frequency, amplitude, activity and the area under the curve of the uterine smooth muscle in vitro in normal mice and uterine oxytocin-induced mice were significantly decreased by all of the three extractions( P 0. 05).Among the three extractions, the solution of group C was displayed the most significant inhibition( P 0. 05). Conclusions: According to the results of pharmacodynamics experiments, some medicinal herbs supercritical extractions were selected to the extraction process of Angelica anti-dysmenorrhea compound.
