AS AÇÕES DO ENFERMEIRO NO CONTEXTO DA ATENÇÃO BÁSICA: REFLEXÕES TEÓRICAS

Introduction: The National Primary Care Policy is the conclusion of several lines of development built through the Unified Health System (SUS). The nurse assumes an important role, being responsible for assisting the individual and family, from childhood to old age. Objective: To reflect on the actions of nurses in primary care. Method: Reflective study, theoretical approach based on Barbara Starfield, a theoretical framework for primary international health care. The search took place with materials available on the internet and readings of articles. Reflections: All the professionals that precede Primary Care are of paramount importance, so that the service works, however, the nurse is the most prominent professional in some moments, for having a closer contact with the community and developing exceptional actions. Final Considerations: This study brought important reflections, effectively detailing the actions of nurses in primary health care, characterizing them as essential for care and humanized.
