Synthesis of lithium manganese phosphate nanoparticle and its properties

Abstract The LiMnPO 4 fine particles were synthesized by polyol method. To optimize the synthesis conditions of the LiMnPO 4 compounds, we have prepared the LiMnPO 4 compound with different processing conditions. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope observation and infrared spectroscope study. The particle size of the as-prepared samples are very small than the sample calcined at 500 ∘ C for 3 h in Ar. The electrochemical properties of the cathodes were studied by galvanostatic method. All the samples exhibit a sloping line of the voltage profile, which is the characteristic of the nanoparticles.
