[The emigration of Turks from Bulgaria: past and present. Part 1: emigration from 1878 to 1951]

Emigration trends among the Turkish minority population in Bulgaria are reviewed for the period 1878-1951. Seven phases of emigration are identified and their causes are discussed. (ANNOTATION)
