Investigation on recognition and need of emergency risk communication for workers in Dongguan

Objective To understand the Dongguan city public health risk communication situation and needs,for the city to deal with major public health emergency risk communication to provide the basis for. Methods Cluster sampling method,trained surveyors to survey on filling requirements,survey questionnaire.Through literature,questionnaire investigation,expert advisory meeting held to determine. Results Different degree of workers on the public health risk perception differences(F=5.37,P0.05),which had high school and university academic staff of public health risk awareness was relatively high;different age workers to the public health risk cognition difference(F=3.92,P0.05);66.85% people believe that the government has the ability to control public health event,31.66% of them exhibited distrust or ready to accept either course attitude;a risk for public health concerns: 34.95% pays close attention to very much,generally about 53.58%,did not pay attention to occupy 10.80%;people understood public health information channel was very diversified,mainly through television,radio,newspapers,magazines,network information way;in the public health event,the public would like to receive information in many aspects,the most was the hope that the government and relevant departments timely notice,followed by the hope that the government and relevant departments to take measures to control infectious diseases,understanding the harmfulness and wanted to know how to spread the disease to occur;public health emergency government propaganda content was to help survey,628(67.17%) were considered to have of great help,but 156(16.68%) people think of little help or content too professional looked not to understand,too much content to distinguish primary and secondary,98(10.48%) people think that content was not worthy of attention,53(5.67) were not concerned about the government's propaganda work. Conclusions Dongguan city workers and public health cognition level need strengthening,the government should strengthen the public health emergency control ability,and improve public health risk knowledge mode of propaganda and education,strengthen the communication between the public and the risk.
