Introduction: Upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) are common among children, as so Over-thecounter medications in these situations. Objective: to determine the prevalence of over-thecounter medication in children younger than 12 years old, the most utilized medication class and the responsible for the indication. Methods: Cross-sectional study type, performed at UNISUL school ambulatory, using a questionnaire applied in parents at the same day and place of medical consult. Variable association was made using Chi-square and Kruskall-Wallis tests, with a significance level of 95%.
