Enthalpies of mixing of pentafluorobenzene with some hydrocarbons

1972
Abstract The excess enthalpies of pentafluorobenzene with cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, and a series of methyl-substituted benzenes have been measured at temperatures in the range 308 to 328 K over a wide composition range. The results obtained for the alicyclic compounds are positive and very similar to values for the corresponding mixtures with hexafluorobenzene. The mixtures formed with the aromatic hydrocarbons have negative excess enthalpies which decrease almost linearly with the number of methyl groups substituted into the benzene ring.
