Rituximab Treatment for Pemphigus-induced Acquired Hemophilia A

Objective To explore the clinical use of rituximab in pemphigus-induced acquired hemophilia A.Methods We describe that a patient with pemphigus-induced acquired hemophilia A was successfully treated with rituximab and low-dose steroids.Also a series of the published literature on pemphigus-induced acquired hemophilia A is reviewed.Results After 4 courses of rituximab combined with low-dose steroids treatment,the patient showed significant improvement in both coagulation function and pemphigus lesions.Conclusion Rituximab can be one of the off-label treatment options for pemphigus-induced acquired hemophilia A.
