Synthesis of Hydrazine and Azapeptide Derivatives by Alkylation of Carbazates and Semicarbazones.

Initial alkylation studies of carbazates (I) with propargyl bromide (IIa) using different bases show that superior conversion is achieved with fluorene derivative (Ib).
