Analisis Faktor Risiko Karakteristik Orang dan Tempat Perindukan Vektor Terhadap Kejadian Malaria di Kabupaten Manggarai Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

2022
Malaria in NTT is the second highest in Indonesia after Papua. The main requirement for a malaria-free area is an annual parasite incidence, below one per 1,000 population and there are no malaria cases in the local population for three consecutive years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors for the characteristics of people and vector breeding places with Malaria in Manggarai District. This type of research was an analytic observation with a case control design. The total sample size was 204 household heads with technic random sampling. Data were analyzed using logistic regression statistical tests. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between sex (p= 0.024), population mobility (p=0.001) and breeding place (p= 0.000). There was not a significant relationship between occupation (p = 0.124) and education (p = 0.522). The result regression logistic test showed the variable population mobility (OR = 8.750) have an effect on the potential incidence of malaria in Manggarai Regency. Recommendations for malaria screening for residents who come to Manggarai Regency need to be done as an effort to prevent malaria transmission
