Application of ultrsonic method to the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast neoplasms
2013
Objective To explore the application of ultrasonic method to the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast neoplasms. Methods Before operation in 106 patients,a total of 113 breast masses were examined,a detailed record was made of ultrasound of each breast tumor findings of such as shape, boundary, whether there is no envelope, aspect ratio, rear echo, internal echo, whether there is microcalcifications and color Doppler flow image. We gave the assignmentscore, calculated the total score for each mass, compared with pathological results, applied the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC curve) to evaluate the integral method in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast neoplasms. Results The total ultrasonic scores of breast benign masses and malignant tumors were significantly different.Integral value was higher than that of benign tumor;according to the ROC curve, total score over 13 points was the critical value, the sensitivity of which was 0.826,specificity 0.859.Conclusion Ultrasonic integral method can make quantitative analysis on the features of ultrasonic breast tumor, and has a certain practical value, which is conducive to the differential diagnosis of malignant and benign breast masses.
