Furniture Production Processes: Theory to Practice

2019
The conceptual design of furniture is turned into a physical product through the various manufacturing processes. The manufacturing has individual processes (knife machining, sanding, drilling, etc.) which are limited in numbers and vary slowly in time. A purposefully selected sequence of machining processes creates a manufacturing technology which may be very different, even for the production of the same item. As a consequence, the production technologies are much more inclined to variations than the individual process.
