The invention relates to a power grid GIS (Geographic Information System) spatial image copyright control method, which comprises the steps of watermark information encoding, wherein each character in a watermark information character sequence is encoded into a 2*4 character matrix image; watermark embedding, wherein the 2*4 character matrix images are scrambled into a template image, an original image is cut, a harris feature point with the intensity being the maximum of each small block of the image is solved, and the template image is embedded into each small block of the image by taking the harris feature point with the intensity being the maximum as an anchor point so as to form an intermediate image; and watermark extraction, wherein a cutting operation, which is the same as the step 2, is carried out on the intermediate image, four harris feature points with the intensity being the maximum are searched in each acquired small block, a block containing the watermark information is acquired, and 2-stage wavelet transformation, reverse dithering quantization, inverse scrambling, segmentation, identification, check and combination on the acquired block so as to acquire watermark copyright information finally. The method provided by the invention provides feasible technical support for an intellectual property of power grid geographic spatial data.
