The dynamic interaction of the soil-tunnel-building system under seismic waves

2021
Abstract This paper aims to investigate the seismic response dynamic characteristics of the subway tunnel structure and the interaction characteristics of the tunnel structure and the surface building under earthquake action. Adopting the dynamic finite element method, several overall seismic response calculation models of the soil-tunnel-surface building are established to research the overall natural period of the stratum and effects of ground building on the seismic response of underground tunnels. Studies have shown that: there is an acceleration peak “magnified area” on the surface diagonally above when there is a subway tunnel; subway tunnels have a significant amplification effect on the seismic response of adjacent buildings; the presence of adjacent buildings on the ground also has a certain amplification effect on the acceleration of the tunnel top; the influence on the seismic response of the underground tunnel decreases as the clear distance between the surface building and the subway tunnel increases; the smaller the stiffness of the soil, the greater the influence of the existence of surface buildings on the seismic response of the tunnel structure.
