Liposarcoma mixoide y de células redondas con metástasis mamaria bilateral: reporte de caso y revisión de la literatura

2014
A myxoid/round cell liposarcoma is a rare variant of soft tissue sarcoma characterized by a morphological continuum in which tumor progression goes from a low-grade myxoid lesion to a high grade tumor with round cells. The most common site of appearance are the deep soft tissues of the limbs. The case of a 28 years old female with an axillary lesion extending to the breast is presented. Imaging studies initially revealed localized disease with an histopathological report of a neoplasm composed of atypical lipoblasts embedded in a myxoid stroma. Based on these findings a diagnosis of myxoid/round cell liposarcoma was performed.
