High-field magnetism in CeP with multistep magnetization induced by the Landau level crossing☆

1994
Abstract High-field magnetization of low carrier semimetallic CeP are investigated up to 60 Tesla (T) in the temperature region from 1.3 K to 35 K with the applied field in the {100} and {011} planes. Multi-step magnetizations related with the Landau level crossing are observed. Each critical field is anisotropic and shows a minimum in the [100] direction. The origin of the anisotropy is discussed.
