Diseño aerodinámico del alerón trasero para el Chevrolet Sail S3

In the present project the design of a spoiler for the Sail S3 is made.
A autopart like the spoiler that in the automotive industry of the racing world is very
important since it helps to improve the efficiency of competitive vehicles, but in commercial
vehicles the user that is the final customer, the main thing is its form and aesthetic improvement
of the vehicle leaving aside its efficiency.
It starts by reviewing the history of the ailerons over the years and you can see how the
different configurations were advanced over time and how aeronautics intervened a lot in the
first ailerons, which were used only for competitions and later on seeing which was a very
striking accessory, it is decided to launch this product for commercial cars.
In this project we review the different forces involved in the aerodynamic analysis of both
the vehicle and the spoiler design is done and with the help of technological advance can
simulate a wind tunnel giving us as a result the different values for the validation of the spoiler
experimentally, helping us to determine which is the best choice of the three aileron prototypes
that were configured for the design the first molding type mounted directly in the trunk, and two
configurations of ailerons at different heights one to 25 mm and the other to 75 mm .
