Diagnósticos e cuidados de enfermagem ao recém-nascido prematuro em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal

Objective: To describe the main nursing diagnoses according to the NANDA-I Taxonomy and nursing care to premature newborns in an Intensive Care Unit. Methods: This is a qualitative, descriptive research, developed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of a referral hospital in Belem do Para, with 15 nurses. Data were collected in May 2019 through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was performed by Bardin technique. Results: it was found that the majority of respondents were female, with an average of 11 years of experience and specialization in neonatology. From the data analysis three categories emerged: “Nursing theory for the implementation of the Nursing Care Systematization and the Nursing Process and the established protocols for quality care for preterm newborns”, “Main nursing diagnoses identified in the care of preterm newborns ”,“ Main nursing interventions and / or actions used as strategies of integral care for preterm newborns ”. Conclusion: It was observed that for a quality nursing care is essential to the use of Nursing Care Systematization and the Nursing Process. Nurses assisting this public should use protocols to ensure qualified and systematic care.
